Some fab, bright pom pommery going to @fernmosspetsupplies today. A big box of hanging plants, little pots and a fab pom pom hanger! There’s some great tradescantia growing great guns in that box, just loving this beautiful sunny weather. I’ll be dropping it off at 8.30am if you fancy some bright fun for your windowsill.
Each pot is hand crocheted, some as super special; a mix of one strand hand dyed yarn crocheted with a contrast cotton, just dreamy 🥰

What a beautiful way to start the day, swim to the 8 ball, 16 degrees at 7am, seeing friends and swimming in nature before work, I didn’t want to get out of the water.
And I am so grateful; I’ve done the taking a child to nursery in their pyjamas because they refuse to get dressed, run back for swim kit, reading folders, PE kit, god the bloomin dress down day clothes, cleaned up cat vomit and diahorrea off the carpet after cat combustion as I’ve walked out the door, thrown up cleaning it because I suffer from emetophobia (as recent as last week) run after a dog who doesn’t want to go home, slid on ice into the back of the car in front, smashed into the car in front while they dithered and dathered and decided to break suddenly, left the house a stupid o’clock every morning missing the kids wake up to go to work, crushed vertebrae in my back while sitting in traffic for hours and hours and tried jobs I’ve hated and tried because I thought it would fit round the kids, arrived at work hoarse full of guilt because I’ve shouted at the kids in desperation to get out the door in time with cornflakes encrusted to my clothes, all before work. JUST LIKE EVERY MUM DOES. So while I swim before work missing the kids and their noise I am so very, very grateful of being able to see my friends and the 8 ball all before work. Bliss. For those of you still doing the school drop offs and juggle, your 8 ball does come, with bells and whistles and Glitter and sprinkles because you really, really have earned it. 🎱💙

I bought this rug from Dunelm. I saw it, loved it and the people I was with said, yup, that’s your rug. At £7 each I bought two, one for the caravan and one for the garden.
And no, I’ll never have pristine white sneakers, life is far too short 🏊‍♀️👙☀️life is for colourful rugs and dirty, well worn and well walked sneakers.

I knit on the way to the island, I really can’t just sit still or down, I have to do something else...it’s been a week and this is my chill. Happy weekend you all 💛
Oh, and I still stick my tongue out when I’m concentrating, see pic 8, can’t see that changing since the age of 3, corrective behaviour not required.

I’m going to make some more and grow a pile of coloured comfort and eco cleanliness.

I love a facecloth, a hot one to cleanse and a cold one to soothe tired eyes, you can’t get that from a single use cotton pad.

Isn’t it funny how we’re going back to how things used to be?
Years ago all dishcloths and flannels were hand made and I’m back there now. If you like a hot cloth facial this is your cloth, perfectly exfoliating and wipes your face clean, and washed and washed again and again. I love them. Really lovely cold and placed over your face when you’re stressed too.

I love this coral colour too, it has a hint of Germalene about it and feels all the more healthy and healing because of it!

I’ve got 3 pairs of socks on the go and it’s a

I’ve got 3 pairs of socks on the go and it’s a nightmare scenario. Blue pair I promised to finish this weekend, not going to happen. They’ve been in the go since 2017 and they’re for me, They’ve been dragged around China, India and god knows how many holidays and quite frankly are as fresh as something left bottom of the wash basket for 4 years but I’ll finish them and wear them, probably with my Crocs like a right shoe shuffler across the beach. Cares given? No I’ll be so happy, probably on my own as the family flees.
Next pair, sock 1 of 2 only on the needles about 12 months and for the girl.
Socks 3 for the patient man in my life, cast on 6 months ago, promised 3 years ago.
Patience is a virtue and handmade socks are for the wait. I keep telling them.
I’ve got some amazing acid yellow to cast on from Countess Ablaze and I really can’t wait...
And my Crocs. Never thought I’d love them, I do!! Post swim fashion, I might be a woman of a certain age but mentally I’m about 9, and I never had jelly shoes so now is my time.
