Got into the water feeling exhausted, the heron flew past me, the ducks swam, the fish jumped and the white feather floated. Got out feeling that bit lighter. The clouds though 💙

I’m making this for the girl. I’m loving knitting, simple rounds on big fat needles, it’s whipping up quick and should be done before true Autumn starts. I’ve got some navy and Schiaparelli pink to make one for me, it’s ok, we won’t wear them together 🤦‍♀️

International Dogs Day 2021
Felt only right to take Wodge to our favourite beach at sunset to play with his favourite ball tonight.
Wodge is nearly 11 now, he’s slowing at the end of a long walk but crazy for a ball at the beach, furiously protective of family, hates raised voices in the house, has started slump off in the evening for time on his own (like teenagers do and break your heart) waits at the door till the last one is home, moods because I’m back in the office, spoons you in bed whenever he can. Every day is Wodge’s day, a massive part of our family, happy day you gorgeous beast.

Before and after…
Finished my #ankerstee and…pulled it out to start again! That’s the beauty of knitting, you can do that…reason being it was super large, god knows what I was thinking. So I’ve ripped it back and started again, smaller size, smaller needles, tighter tension, this time probably for the dog!
Knitting in the car again, dreaming of projects new in neon and fluff….but I couldn’t leave it to go in a pile of great unworn. Oh and a 3pm post, happy dance and not at work, love my job, love a break…

So again, I’m knitting an #ankerssummershirt by Petit Knit Using Sandnes Garn Line yarn, a beautiful drape cotton/viscose/linen mix in a NEAUTRAL colour.

Car knitting again, this time London bound to see my sister and her family. I cannot wait to squeeze those little people and hold them tight, this is a three hour warning kids to hide because Aunty Amy is coming, might wear pink lippy and paint their cheeks pink.

An afternoon in Manchester yesterday, a little shopping and mooching with my girl. I used to do this all the time Pre-Covid and now hardly ever. I’ve changed, the world has changed. So lovely to see, the bright colours, street art and people, so good to see the hills and water of home too.

And the boy and his girl are home now ♥️.
